Lake Martin Wedding at Willow Point Country Club

I’ve been looking forward to Ryan and Shelby’s Lake Martin wedding at Willow Point Country Club since we photographed their engagement session back in June! They are such a sweet couple and have been one of my favorite couples to work with. Ryan and Shelby are two people that you just can’t help but like and it’s not hard to figure out why they love each other so much.

The Monday before their wedding on Saturday, I checked the weather for Lake Martin and it said RAIN. ALL . DAY. I was so disappointed for Shelby, because I know how much getting married outside meant to her. The more I checked the weather towards the weekend, the more I was afraid that the rain chances wouldn’t get any better. I knew I would make a way to give them beautiful images no matter where we were though!

It was raining pretty steadily when Hunter and I arrived and started photographing bridal details. When it came time for the First Look, I knew I wanted to do pictures outdoors and the only spot with good light was underneath the carport in front of the country club. We were so blessed with this spot and I am in LOVE with the images!

Thankfully the rain subsided just before the ceremony started and it couldn’t have been more beautiful! My favorite part of the ceremony had to be when Shelby’s adorable dog, Pippa ran back up the aisle as Ryan and Shelby were exiting the ceremony. She was so patient the entire time and was more than excited when she was finally let go to greet Shelby. It was the cutest thing!!

Rain or shine though, it was very evident that Ryan and Shelby didn’t care so much about where they were married as much as just being married. I hope you both enjoy these photographs as much as I do, and love looking back on your wonderful day!
