Blount Cultural Park Engagement Shoot
When Angela contacted me about her Montgomery wedding next May, I was so excited because I had never photographed in Montgomery before and I’m always thrilled to shoot in new locations! Tom and Angela both live in the Birmingham area, whereas Hunter and I live in Enterprise, so meeting in Montgomery was a great halfway point for their engagement session. They chose for their session to be at Blount Cultural Park and it was beautiful! Hunter and I ended up arriving about 1.5 hours before the shoot and I’m glad we did! Driving into the park was a tad overwhelming because it’s so big! I can without a doubt say I could photograph 10 more engagement sessions there and never use the same spot twice. The spots that we did choose to photograph with Tom and Angela turned out amazing and I’m so happy with them!
The weather was perfect for their session, with barely any humidity or wind. A photographer’s dream! Tom and Angela were both great to work with and were such good posers! I barely had to give them any instruction and they fell into their poses perfectly. They made it so easy for me 🙂
Their proposal story is so sweet. Tom completely surprised Angela by asking her to be his wife on a family beach trip. She was secretly hoping he would propose the whole time, but didn’t want to get her hopes up. Tom had suggested they take some pictures on the beach. After all the pictures were finished, or so Angela thought, Tom asked if they could take just one more. At that moment, he got down on one knee and asked the question she had been wanting to hear the entire trip!
I’m so excited for your wedding next spring! Enjoy your photographs!
