Engagement Session in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina
Cam and Kate’s engagement session in downtown Raleigh was beyond gorgeous! When Kate first emailed me and we became friends on Instagram, I noticed she was a business coach and was even more excited to photograph her and Cam. I just love working with other business owners!
We didn’t really know if the session was going to happen or not on the day-of, because the forecast was calling for rain in the late afternoon and evening, which was right in the middle of their session. Kate messaged me and said they were both available earlier in the afternoon, which worked out perfectly! The rain held off for the entire shoot and the light couldn’t have been better for portraits.
We started off at Heirloom Brewshop, a coffee shop in downtown Raleigh. I’ve never seen a coffee shop that was so perfect for photos! It made me want to hang out there and I don’t even drink coffee. Hot chocolate please? After we finished at the coffee shop, we walked a block over to Junction West and photographed outside and around their building. Also a perfect spot for photos! I came away from this shoot wanting to do 10 more shoots downtown. After finishing up there, Cam and Kate suggested we head over to their house. It was a wonderful idea because their home is gorgeous! It made this natural light photographer very happy.
Needless to say this was an amazing shoot and I can’t wait for you to see it! Cam and Kate are right out of a magazine! 🙂
