Why Personal Branding Photography is Important for Your Business
One of the biggest questions that business owners have when looking to book a branding shoot is, “how do I plan for my shoot?”
I believe two of the biggest questions to answer first is:
- What is your personal brand story?
- What are you looking to achieve/what goals do you have for your business that you’d like branding photos to help you accomplish?
To help you answer these questions, I’d like to talk about five things to help you determine what your personal brand story is.
1.Who are you?
This isn’t just asking who you are in your business. For example, I’m not just a photographer. I’m a mom, a wife, a dancer and an organizing enthusiast to name a few.
2.What do you do?
Don’t just think about the literal job description that you have. Think about the service and experience that you provide. If you’re a wedding planner, you don’t just help plan the wedding day; you make the bride’s life easier by giving her peace of mind that everything will be taken care of on her wedding day, so that she can just enjoy it.
3.Why you do it
What makes you so excited to get up every morning and work hard for your clients? If you’re a web designer, you create beautiful online spaces for your clients so they can sell seamlessly to their ideal customers.
4.Who you do it for
Don’t just think in general terms, like women or brides. Go a little bit deeper and think about specifics for your ideal client – How old are they? Where do they shop? What shows do they watch? Who are the types of people you want to attract with your brand?
5.What are the unique values that you offer?
How are you different from everyone else in your industry? How do you make your clients feel? How do you go above and beyond for your clients? How is your experience different? What sets you apart?
