Our First Christmas Tree

          I love this time of year. Hopefully it’s getting colder, so I can break out my fall/winter wardrobe, plans are being made for the holidays, Christmas music is playing everywhere you go, and all of the Christmas decorations start going up. I’ve always loved decorating the tree and this year was definitely no exception. This year is Hunter and I’s first Christmas together being married, so we needed all new decorations! My mother, sister and I probably spent too much time in Hobby Lobby a few weekends ago, choosing everything and we stayed just in the Christmas section! Although, you can spend a few hours in that store without even realizing it. So, we picked out our decorations and I am so excited!

          Hunter and I spent this past Saturday evening listening to Christmas music, drinking hot chocolate and putting up our tree. I really wanted a wintery tree and I love how everything turned out! We went for a blue and silver “frozen” type theme, and I love the snowflakes! I might just have to go back for some more! I gave Hunter an ornament last Christmas in honor of his favorite Christmas movie “It’s A Wonderful Life”, and it blended in perfectly with our theme. I couldn’t find exactly what style I was looking for in a tree skirt, so I bought a few yards of silver metallic fabric and wrapped it around the bottom. For the tree topper, everything that I was finding was either too big for our 4.5′ tree, or not quite the right style. So, naturally I figured I’d look at Pinterest to see if I could make something! It does look crafty, but I love how it ties everything together.
